Bangladeshi Official Departs for Germany

Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb, the special assistant to the chief adviser of the interim government overseeing ICT and telecommunications, departed Bangladesh for Germany on an Emirates Airlines flight (EK-583) as confirmed by sources at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka. A colleague mentioned that Taiyeb had taken a two-day leave starting on February 9 and was bid farewell by the ICT and Telecom divisions of the ministry before his departure. Having served as a special assistant with the rank of a state minister since March 5, 2025, Taiyeb, an alumnus of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology with a degree in electrical engineering, had previously been appointed as an ICT policy adviser in November 2024.
