The Election Commission (EC) has released the detailed breakdown of popular votes by party for the recent 13th National Parliamentary Election conducted on February 12, 2026.
As per the information compiled by the EC’s Election Management division, BNP secured 3,74,68,994 votes, leading to the acquisition of 209 seats. In comparison, Jamaat-e-Islami received 2,38,25,259 votes, resulting in 68 seats being won.
Independent candidates collectively amassed 43,39,238 votes, securing a total of seven seats in the election. The National Citizen Party (NCP), established by student and youth leaders from the July uprising, garnered 22,86,795 votes and clinched six seats while being part of the Jamaat-led 11-party coalition.
Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis managed to secure two seats with 15,64,187 votes, and Khelafat Majlis secured one seat with 5,69,730 votes, both as part of the alliance. Additionally, Islami Andolan Bangladesh won one seat with 20,24,140 votes.
Gono Odhikar Parishad (GOP) obtained one seat with 2,43,511 votes, Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP) secured one seat with 1,05,779 votes, and Ganosamhati Andolon secured one seat with 1,04,812 votes, all contesting within BNP’s electoral coalition.
Despite receiving 6,62,428 votes, the Jatiya Party did not secure any seats in the election results.
Other notable parties in the election included Jamiate Ulama-e-Islam Bangladesh with 3,49,886 votes, Bangladesh Islami Front with 3,35,011 votes, Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) with 2,59,469 votes, Amar Bangladesh Party (AB Party) with 2,10,562 votes, and Bangladesh Development Party with 1,28,519 votes.
Furthermore, thirty-five parties received less than 1 lakh votes, with Sama Odikar Party obtaining 169 votes and Ganatantri Party receiving 191 votes.
The Election Commission highlighted that the voting process occurred in 42,651 centers spread across 299 constituencies, with detailed polling center outcomes being disclosed for 297 constituencies.
