“Jamaat-e-Islami MP Slams BNP for Breaking Promises”

Date:

Jamaat-e-Islami Member of Parliament representing Nilphamari-3 constituency, Obaidullah Salafi, criticized the ruling BNP for allegedly reneging on their pre-election promises. Addressing the parliament, he questioned how the BNP could so swiftly backtrack on commitments made to the public. Salafi expressed disappointment, highlighting the shift from BNP’s initial slogan of ‘Bangladesh first’ to what he described as a prioritization of BNP leaders and activists across various sectors, including the Bangladesh Bank, universities, and local petrol stations.

According to Salafi, the sentiment among the populace is that the focus has shifted from ‘Bangladesh first’ to ‘BNP leaders and activists first.’ He also noted a perceived change in the BNP’s anthem, suggesting that it has evolved from emphasizing Bangladesh to highlighting the constitution. Salafi warned that failure to address these concerns could lead the public to believe that their destiny is being manipulated once again.
