“Legora Raises $550M in Series D Funding, Valuation Hits $5.55B”

Legora, a platform utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) for legal professionals, has successfully secured $550 million in a Series D funding round, propelling its valuation to $5.55 billion. This funding boost aims to drive the company’s expansion efforts throughout the United States.

Accel spearheaded the funding round for Legora, with notable involvement from existing investors such as Benchmark, Bessemer Venture Partners, General Catalyst, ICONIQ, Redpoint Ventures, and Y Combinator. Additionally, new investors like Alkeon Capital, Bain Capital, Firstmark Capital, Menlo Ventures, Sands Capital, Starwood Capital, and Salesforce Ventures joined the investment round.

The funding injection coincides with Legora’s one-year milestone of operations in the US, a pivotal market crucial for its future development. The company has solidified partnerships with prominent law firms including White & Case, Cleary Gottlieb, and Goodwin over the past year.

Looking ahead, Legora aims to establish more hubs across the US and anticipates growing its workforce in the country to over 300 employees by the conclusion of 2026. Within the last year, the company has seen substantial workforce expansion, scaling from 40 to approximately 400 employees across its offices in Stockholm, London, New York City, Denver, Sydney, and Bengaluru. Legora reports that its platform is actively utilized by tens of thousands of legal professionals daily, spanning across more than 800 law firms and corporate legal teams in over 50 markets.
