“Porsche Unveils Electric Cayenne Coupe with 1,139 HP”

Date:

Porsche is set to launch an electric version of its Cayenne Coupe later this year, expanding its range of electric SUVs. The Cayenne Coupe Electric will come in three models: a base model, an S Coupe, and a Turbo Coupe. All three versions will feature an 800-volt powertrain, air suspension, and an adaptive rear spoiler, along with a North American Charging Standard port and an additional AC charging port.

Performance levels vary among the models. The base model will offer up to 435 horsepower and achieve 0-60 in 4.5 seconds, while the Turbo variant will deliver up to 1,139 horsepower, accelerating from 0-60 in just 2.4 seconds, putting it in the league of high-performance electric cars like the Tesla Model S Plaid, Lucid Air Sapphire, and Porsche’s own Taycan Turbo GT. Although official EPA range estimates are pending, initial real-world testing suggests a range similar to other Cayenne electric variants, around 360 miles on a single charge.

The Cayenne Coupe’s body style has been well-received within the lineup, with the petrol-powered coupe capturing a significant market share since its introduction in 2019. It initially claimed 20% of Cayenne sales and has now grown to represent 40% of global Cayenne sales, reaching up to 90% in certain markets.

In contrast to the Porsche Macan, which will transition exclusively to electric models in the future, the Cayenne Coupe Electric will continue to be available alongside petrol and hybrid versions beyond 2030.
