“Trump Raises Global Tariffs to 15% Amid Supreme Court Dispute”

Date:

President Donald Trump announced on Saturday that he would be increasing the global tariffs on products entering the United States from 10 percent to 15 percent, with immediate effect. This decision came following the Supreme Court’s recent ruling that significantly limited his broad tariffs.

Taking to his Truth Social platform, Trump expressed his dissatisfaction with the court’s ruling, which he described as “extremely anti-American.” In response, the administration conducted a comprehensive assessment and decided to raise the import tariffs to the maximum permissible level of 15%, which has undergone legal scrutiny.
