Weather Woes Threaten Bangladesh vs. New Zealand T20I

Date:

Inclement weather looms over the second T20I match between Bangladesh and New Zealand, potentially disrupting both teams’ efforts to secure a series victory or level the series, respectively.

Recent heavy and moderate rainfall in parts of Chattogram has led to waterlogging, impacting the teams’ training schedules. New Zealand opted for indoor training with limited player participation, while the hosts chose to skip practice altogether.

Wednesday morning saw light drizzles and cloudy conditions in Chattogram, where the Birshreshtha Flight Lt Matiur Rahman Stadium is located in Sagorika.

Around noon, heavy rain swept across the city, as depicted by images showing dark clouds looming over the stadium.

The intermittent rain expected throughout the day could lead to a disrupted match with frequent stoppages, mirroring the weather conditions prevailing in other parts of the country.
