Aloha Bangladesh recently organized its 18th National Abacus and Mental Arithmetic Competition at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) on April 3 and 4. The event brought together over 3,400 students from approximately 600 schools across the nation.
This annual two-day competition, established by Aloha in 2008, aims to enhance children’s cognitive and numerical abilities through abacus-based learning. Participants were challenged with solving up to 70 complex arithmetic problems within a five-minute time frame to test both their speed and accuracy.
The winners of the competition were honored with awards and certificates. A select group of participants will have the opportunity to represent Bangladesh at the upcoming Aloha International Competition scheduled to be held in Panama later this year.
Aloha, a globally recognized ISO-certified educational system, operates in more than 40 countries and has impacted over six million students worldwide. In Bangladesh, the program has been active since 2006 and offers training through various branches across the country.
