A complaint was lodged against a 17-year-old neighbor for allegedly sexually assaulting a 10-year-old boy in Purbadhala upazila of Netrokona. The accused has been missing since the incident took place.
According to the case details, the incident occurred on a Tuesday afternoon as per Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Didarul Alam of Purbadhala Police Station.
The teenager reportedly enticed the child into his residence and committed the assault when no one else was around, as stated in the case report.
Upon the boy’s outcry, the accused fled the premises. The child was later discovered by family members, feeling unwell after the traumatic event, and was subsequently admitted to the local health facility the next morning.
The boy’s mother filed the case while her son was receiving medical care, with family members expressing concern over the child’s severe distress.
OC Didarul mentioned that authorities are actively pursuing the apprehension of the absconding suspect.
