Denmark’s Defense Minister Rejects Foreign Medical Aid

Denmark’s defense minister dismissed the need for medical assistance in Greenland from other nations following US President Donald Trump’s announcement of sending a hospital ship to the autonomous Danish territory. Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen stated that the healthcare needs of Greenlandic residents are adequately met either within Greenland or through specialized treatment in Denmark. He highlighted that Greenland, like Denmark, provides free access to healthcare services, with five regional hospitals spread across the expansive Arctic island, including the Nuuk hospital catering to patients from various regions.
