Ashes Set to Delight Fans with Dual Album Release on Eid

Date:

Popular rock group Ashes is gearing up to delight fans this Eid by releasing two new albums simultaneously – “Bibhrom” and “Danahin Pakhi.”

“Bibhrom” consists of nine tracks, while “Danahin Pakhi” features eight songs. On Chand Raat, the band will unveil one song from each album, with the remaining tracks set for weekly release thereafter.

The band shared that these songs are a culmination of their work spanning the past eight to ten years. Some tracks were previously showcased at concerts and live performances but have never been officially released in album form. Alongside the two albums, Ashes will also introduce a new track from a separate special project.

Lead singer Junaed Evan stated that the albums signify extensive exploration in both sound and theme. The underlying concept of the songs revolves around the pursuit of “non-material happiness” – emphasizing joy beyond material possessions.

Evan elaborated on how modern society has become excessively materialistic, associating happiness with material goods. Through these albums, Ashes aims to emphasize the beauty of simple, intangible moments like gazing at the sky, savoring the rain or moonlight, and fostering authentic human connections. The lyrics also touch on existential musings and internal struggles.

In a unique move, Ashes has planned unconventional promotional events. Post-Eid, the band will embark on tours across various districts, hosting solo concerts featuring tracks from the two albums. Moreover, they are arranging exclusive listening sessions in mountainous areas and seaside locations.

Evan mentioned that handpicked fans will receive invitations to these intimate gatherings, where attendees can not only sing along but also hear the inspirations behind each song. However, additional specifics are being kept confidential to enhance the element of surprise.

Previously, Ashes introduced a charitable endeavor named “Manusher Jonno” (For Humanity), with the aim of donating all proceeds from a ten-track album to aid patients battling severe illnesses like cancer, kidney ailments, and paralysis. None of the band members will receive any payment from this project.

In the interim between the Eid album releases, Ashes will present a new song as part of the “Manusher Jonno” initiative.

Evan highlighted that Ashes has a longstanding commitment to supporting individuals facing medical challenges, including organizing blood donation campaigns and offering financial aid to those in need of treatment. However, the band felt the need for a structured initiative to reach a wider audience. Through this new project, they aspire to emotionally connect audiences with the hardships of patients and foster broader support.
