“BAYLA Future Summit 2026: Shaping Bangladesh’s Apparel Industry”

Date:

The Bangladesh Apparel Youth Leaders Alliance (BAYLA) has announced a two-day summit scheduled for July 20-21 to explore the future of the country’s ready-made garment (RMG) and textile industry.

Titled as the BAYLA Future Summit 2026 with the theme “Think Beyond Today,” the summit is set to take place at the Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel in Dhaka, as per a press release.

The summit will gather key figures from the industry, policymakers, academics, and young professionals. It anticipates over 1,500 attendees, including 500 chief executives and senior business figures, and more than 20 local and international speakers.

Discussions at the summit will cover topics such as leadership, artificial intelligence, Industry 4.0, sustainability, innovation, finance, and other emerging trends in the global apparel sector.

Renowned speakers from the business and policy arenas will delve into subjects like global leadership in manufacturing, the impact of AI on the RMG sector, sustainable practices, financial aspects, small and medium-sized enterprises, workforce development, and data-driven decision-making.

A highlight of the event will be the BAYLA Future Leaders 2026, a national case competition among university teams aimed at fostering connections between students and industry leaders. The competition will culminate in a grand finale where selected teams will present their solutions to business executives following campus rounds held on July 16 and 18.

Abrar Hossain Sayem, the President of BAYLA, emphasized the need for Bangladesh to sustain its global manufacturing status through innovation, technology integration, effective leadership, and a skilled workforce.

Hasin Arman Ayon, the first vice-president of BAYLA and the summit’s event director, highlighted the platform’s objective of uniting industry experts, policymakers, innovators, and young professionals to devise pragmatic solutions for the future of Bangladesh’s apparel industry.

Huawei is the main sponsor of the summit, while Envoy Legacy, A&E (American & Efird) (BD) Ltd, Sunrise Zhejiang Risun Intelligent Technology Co Ltd, and Transcom are the supporting partners of the event.
