Bangladesh fast bowlers Mustafizur Rahman and Nahid Rana will not be returning to their respective Pakistan Super League (PSL) teams as the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has revoked their No Objection Certificates (NOCs), as per a press release from the board on Thursday.
After the third ODI against New Zealand, the BCB medical team assessed Mustafizur’s condition and determined that the left-arm bowler requires an immediate scan for further evaluation. The 28-year-old will subsequently commence a rehabilitation program under the supervision of the BCB medical staff, which means he will miss the remainder of the current PSL season.
Furthermore, the BCB has stated that Nahid Rana will not be permitted to join the PSL. This decision was made to afford the young fast bowler ample time to prepare for Bangladesh’s upcoming Test series against Pakistan next month.
