“Fatal Helicopter Crash at Iranian Fruit Market”

A military helicopter operated by the Iranian army’s Air Force crashed into a fruit market in the central province of Isfahan, resulting in the deaths of four individuals, as per reports from state media. The casualties included the pilot, co-pilot, and two fruit vendors who were on the ground at the time of the incident. The crash was attributed to a “technical malfunction,” as stated by the official IRNA news agency. The tragic event occurred in the city of Khomeynishahr within Isfahan province.

Iran, facing sanctions, has encountered multiple aviation accidents in recent years. Officials have expressed challenges in procuring spare parts to maintain their aging aircraft fleets. In another incident, an Iranian fighter jet crashed during a late-night training session in the western Hamedan province, resulting in the death of one of the two pilots aboard, according to Iran’s state broadcaster.
