A new song titled “Nari Jay Bari” (Woman Returns Home) has been crafted as a tribute to women. Penned by Shahid Mahmud Jangi and composed by Pilu Khan, the song features performances by three rising vocalists – Somnur Monir Konal, Antora Rahman, and Masha Islam.
The music arrangement for the song is done by Mir Masum, and the animated video is helmed by Mir Hisham and Saraf Chishty. Scheduled for release on March 8, International Women’s Day, the track will be launched by Aajob Records.
Reflecting on the essence of the song, Shahid Mahmud Jangi expressed, “Women spend their lives seeking a place to call their own. Whether in their father’s house, husband’s abode, or son’s dwelling, do they ever truly find a home that is theirs? ‘Nari Jay Bari’ delves into this timeless inquiry.”
Pilu Khan commented, “Having collaborated with Jangi bhai on diverse themes over the past four decades, this song adds another significant dimension. I am optimistic that audiences will appreciate this musical offering.”
Konal shared her excitement, stating, “It’s a privilege to lend my voice alongside two iconic personalities. Working with Jangi bhai and Pilu bhai marks a milestone in my musical journey.”
Antora Rahman resonated with the song’s message, saying, “As a woman, I see myself mirrored in the song’s narrative. Being in the presence of respected individuals like Jangi bhai and Pilu bhai is truly a blessing.”
Masha Islam expressed her joy in collaborating with the team, praising Shahid Mahmud Jangi and Pilu Khan as stalwarts in the music industry. She highlighted the beautiful musical arrangement by Masum bhai and hoped that audiences would relish the project as much as she did.
The song “Nari Jay Bari” is set to be available on all global streaming platforms from March 8, 2026. The music video will premiere on the Aajob Records YouTube channel and across the artists’ social media platforms.
