“SBL and LightCastle Partner to Boost Bangladesh’s Startup Ecosystem”

Startup Bangladesh Limited (SBL), a government-supported venture capital entity, has recently entered into a strategic memorandum of understanding (MoU) with LightCastle Partners, a management consulting firm originating from Bangladesh with a global presence in Bangladesh, Singapore, and the United States.

Per a press release, the partnership aims to bolster the growth of Bangladesh’s startup environment by leveraging data-driven insights, facilitating investment opportunities, and strengthening connections between local entrepreneurs and international investors.

The collaboration will emphasize the production of research and knowledge materials focusing on the ecosystem, hosting engagement programs for investors, executing global promotional activities, and organizing events that facilitate interaction between startup founders and global investors. Additionally, joint initiatives such as webinars, roundtable discussions, and the launch of a quarterly newsletter spotlighting Bangladesh’s startup scene are in the pipeline as detailed in the press release.
